Who we are

Short Work is a trading name of [company name], registered in England and Wales (company number to follow). We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us at hello@shortwork.co.uk.

What we collect

  • What you send us through the contact form or by email: your name, email address, business name, team size and message.
  • If you become a client, the contact and billing details we need to deliver the work and invoice you.
  • Anonymous, cookie-free website statistics such as page views. These do not identify you.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call (our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us), and to deliver and invoice work if you become a client (to perform our contract with you and meet legal obligations).

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We use a small number of providers to run the business, such as our website host and analytics (Cloudflare), our form provider and our email provider. They process data on our instructions. Some may store data outside the UK, in which case appropriate safeguards are in place.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted after 12 months. Client records are kept for six years after the work ends, as required for tax and accounting.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@shortwork.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
